BER Framework Coordinator (Dublin)Location: DublinSalary:€74,500 per annumTenure:18-Month Fixed Term ContractThe OpportunityWe are seeking a technical project lead to join the Technical Department of a leading national energy authority. This role is a central pillar in meeting Ireland's obligations under the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). You will act as a critical bridge between technical calculation methodologies, software development, and national operations to ensure energy performance certificates (EPCs) are accurate, optimized, and effective.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and lead complex projects across several business functions to deliver an optimised building energy rating framework.Collaborate with the calculation methodology team on the development of building energy performance standards.Work closely with the Software and Systems Development Team to integrate these methodologies into national platforms like DEAP and NEAP.Liaise with operational teams to manage stakeholders, including assessors and auditors, to operationalise the framework.Lead strategic approaches to improve the quality, quality control, and overall efficiency of the national system.Design and implement new operational and management dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.Manage research and analysis projects to inform the design and delivery of Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS).Essential RequirementsA degree (minimum Level 7 NFQ) in a technical or operational field such as Architecture, Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability or Economics (or related).At least four years of directly relevant experience in building performance assessment, energy modelling or sustainability consultancy.A working knowledge of building energy performance methodologies, including practical experience with DEAP and NEAP.Proven experience working in multi-disciplinary teams and managing projects with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to represent a national organisation in public forums.Strong analytical and interpretive skills with the ability to use sound judgement on complex technical issues.Desirable RequirementsProfessional experience in software development, quality control, or user acceptance testing.A deep technical understanding of building energy systems.Current certification as a BER Assessor or a PMP qualification.Knowledge or experience in delivering positive customer and user experiences.Important Note:Applicants must be eligible to work in Ireland for the full duration of the 18-month contract.
