Digital Finance Manager

Tirlán currently partnering with a 3rd party service provider for the provision of IT services is about to embark on a significant IT transformation programme to stand up its own IT capability. The initial focus will be on enabling projects and will involve close collaboration with our partner. This will require a number of new and exciting roles to join the Tirlán IT team, working in a dynamic & collaborative environment.

Role Profile
We are seeking an experienced Digital Finance Manager to oversee and optimise our finance‑related IT landscape.
The Digital Finance Manager is responsible for managing and enhancing our core financial systems, which include SAP, Finance Consolidation platforms, Treasury solutions, and SAP FICO modules.
The role will work in close partnership with the Information Technology team, Tirlan Finance department and business stakeholders across the organisation to ensure that our finance technology infrastructure supports business objectives and complies with relevant regulations.
The Digital Finance function responsibilities span 80 locations including manufacturing facilities, offices, retail locations, data centres, cloud services and managed services.
A successful candidate must demonstrate strong leadership skill, technical skills and business understanding combined with interpersonal skills to work with IT and business process specialists to visualise and implement future state IT landscapes.
Responsibilities
Lead the management, maintenance, and development of SAP, Finance Consolidation, Treasury, and FICO systems.
Collaborate with Finance and other CoE teams, ensuring data, integration and reporting alignment.
Drive the implementation of new features, upgrades, and enhancements in alignment with business needs and compliance standards.
Support finance teams in reporting, consolidation, and treasury management processes through effective IT solutions.
Ensure data integrity, security, and confidentiality across all finance IT platforms.
Manage user training, access rights, and change management for finance IT systems.
Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in finance IT.
Work closely with vendors and external partners to ensure optimal system performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
Coordinate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Create and maintain functional architecture & design artefacts.
Develop, maintain and document robust controls and procedures for all finance IT systems.
Supervise the daily activities of the Digital Finance team, set priorities for the team, ensure quality and timely completion of tasks and coordinate work activities with other managers/team leads.
Contribute to the strategy development for Tirlan’s Information Technology services.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
5+ years of experience in managing SAP (including FICO), Finance Consolidation, and Treasury systems in a corporate environment.
Strong understanding of finance processes, reporting, and regulatory requirements. Knowledge of data security, privacy, and compliance standards.
Experience in system integration, process automation, and change management.
Excellent project management and organisational skills.
Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
Effective communication skills, capable of managing effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Relevant certifications in Finance systems or IT management highly desirable.
Previous experience in a similar Digital Finance leadership role.
