Commercial Project Accountant Location: Killarney / Hybrid Package: Competitive package with hybrid working (3 days onsite) and strong benefits Our client, a leading organisation in the engineering and manufacturing space, is seeking a commercially minded Project Accountant to join their finance team. This role sits within a specialised project finance function, working closely with cross-functional teams to manage the full financial lifecycle of large-scale, revenue-generating projects. Your Role Own and manage project cashflow modelling from bid stage through to final delivery Prepare detailed P&L forecasts across a portfolio of live projects Collaborate with operations and design teams to close out projects Conduct deep-dive variance analysis, reviewing actual vs budget performance Develop new reporting tools and drive improvements in project cost control Support month-end reporting and contribute to department reporting packs Participate in cross-functional project teams and finance transformation initiatives Your Skills Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) 5+ years' post-qualified experience in a commercially focused or analytical finance role Strong Excel skills with proven ability to interpret and analyse complex data Comfortable working across departments and presenting financial insights to non-finance stakeholders Detail-oriented, organised, and proactive - able to work both independently and as part of a small team Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or other project-based industries is an advantage but not essential If this opportunity is of interest to you, please send your CV to Aoife Davis at Abrivia.
