Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated financial professional to play a key role in our day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare year-end company accounts and working papers up to review stage, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
* Reconcile balance sheet items, including VAT, payroll, leases, hire purchases, and fixed assets, to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
* Apply knowledge of accounting principles to post journals onto accounting software accurately and efficiently.
* Assist in the preparation of management accounts, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
* Prepare statutory financial statements, ensuring compliance with deadlines, checklists, and procedural requirements.
* Support year-end close processes, including the preparation of year-end journals, to ensure timely completion.
* Assist in the preparation of Corporation Tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Liaise with clients over the phone and through written correspondence, providing excellent customer service and support.
Skill and Experience:
* Part-qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with a minimum of 2+ years of general accounting practice experience.
* Results-driven with strong technical abilities and financial acumen, able to work independently and take initiative.
* Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on customer care, proficiency in both written and spoken English.
* Highly organized with excellent planning abilities, intermediate to advanced Excel skills preferred, and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
