Due to our continued growth, we are looking for someone with an understanding and interest in sports analytics to join our Quantitative Research team. Quantitative Researchers work to better understand markets and to identify, develop and improve trading strategies. You will have access to the most comprehensive sports statistics and trading data. You'll use your mathematical and analytical skills to design, test, and refine data-driven models and strategies. This position will likely require intermittent international travel.Tasks will include:Understanding, refining, and maintaining our current exchange-trading strategiesCollaborate with traders, quants, and developers to improve our mathematical models and softwareTrading sports events occasionally to enhance understanding of market dynamicsBuild and calibrate probabilistic models for sports outcomes.Analysing past trades and historical data in a constant search for improvementDesigning, testing, and evaluating new model ideas through simulation and backtesting frameworksDeveloping tools useful for tradingPresenting findings and recommendations to traders and stakeholders in a clear and data-driven mannerWhat we're looking for A Bachelor's degree (or higher) with research experience in a numerate or technical discipline such as Mathematics, Stats, Computer Science, Physics, etc.Exceptional quantitative, statistical and probabilistic reasoning skills.Very strongattention to detail.Interest in sports data/analytics with an understanding of some subset of- -NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, Soccer or Tennis- Knowledge of data mining and modelling- Strong programming ability (Python, C#, or both); experience with libraries such as Pandas and NumPy a plus.- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment- Strong interpersonal and English communication skills- Attentiveness and ability to react to changing priorities while managing multiple tasks is essential- Knowledge of thebetting or prediction marketsis a plus
