National Sales Manager
We're looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic National Sales Manager to lead our Area sales manager and continue to drive our plans for expansion and growth in the Irish market. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a dynamic, fast paced, and innovative business where we always put our customers, suppliers, and colleagues at the heart of our decisions. This role is National and would require regular travel to the site in Cork and also National travel across Ireland to visit key strategic customers in addition to infrequent travel to the UK head office for key meetings. The successful candidate will report into the Sales Director for UK and Ireland Multiples and must have a full driving licence.

Ames True Temper would not be the massive success story it is without its people. Established in 1932, Ames True Temper has become the largest and most respected distributor in Ireland of all things garden related.
With such brands as True Temper, Darby, Kelkay, La Hacienda, and Apta, the business has expanded at a rapid rate in the last 5 years alone. Servicing a combination of channels including DIY stores and garden centres as well as some of Ireland's largest multiple retailers, Ames True Temper is the supplier of choice for many of the above-mentioned retailers.
The Role
This is a permanent field / home based position with travel across Ireland and to the head office in Cork. You will be responsible for managing the key strategic customer relationships in Ireland in addition to working closely with the Irish merchandising team to ensure all AMES products are correctly represented across all channels we serve including Merchants, Garden Centres and DIY stores. The main objective of the role is to maximise sales and margin across the Irish market and develop / execute a clear strategy for growth.
This is a varied role and on any given day you could be:
* Hosting key customers or buying groups in the Cork showroom, to gain incremental listings.
* Visting key stores and large Independent Garden Centres to maximise potential.
* Developing and executing the go to market strategy for Ireland in line with AMES strategic direction.
* Collaborating with the UK and Ireland product and marketing functions to commercialise effectively in Ireland.
* Working closely to support in alignment of Ireland with the S&OP process.
* Proactively solving any in market issues and striving for process improvements to drive efficiency.
* Spending time supporting the Area Sales Manager and Irish merchandising team to maximise potential in field.
About You

* Has 3-5 years experience of working in field sales and nationally across Ireland.
