This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions that enable meaningful business insights and operational efficiencies.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced data professional with a strong technical background inBig Data, cloud technologies, and large-scale data processingto contribute to the development of innovative analytics solutions.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and implement robust data pipelines and analytical capabilities using modern Big Data tools and frameworks.Build and maintain high-performance analytics and data models to support scalable products and applications.Collaborate with product, engineering, and data science teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.Write, review, and optimise high-quality, well-tested code to ensure system reliability and scalability.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement across development practices and processes.Take ownership of complex feature implementations and ensure best practices are applied across all project phases.Requirements:Strong proficiency in Python or Scala, Spark, and Hadoop platforms and tools (Hive, Impala, Airflow, NiFi, Sqoop).Advanced skills in SQL and experience building Big Data products and platforms .Proven experience with cloud technologies such as Databricks, AWS, or Azure .Demonstrated success in building and deploying production-level data applications and ETL/ELT workflows .Experience with machine learning systems, including data ingestion, feature engineering, and model evaluation.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a customer-focused approach.Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.Desirable Skills and Experience:Full-stack engineering experience within an agile production environment.Experience leading the design and implementation of large-scale, complex data solutions.Knowledge of predictive analytics, machine learning, and advanced statistical techniques.A strong interest in process optimisation and technical innovation.
