 
        Job descriptionPosition: Children's Centre CookThe post holder is accountable to the Childcare Manager and the Centre Manager for providing a catering service for the centres childcare section.Duties· Menu planning in consultation with Childcare Manager & best practice in relation to Nutrition Guidelines· Ordering goods and keeping within budget guidelines.· Preparation and cooking of meals.· Determine portion size and monitor daily dietary requirements.· Serve dinners in childcare rooms, ensure all kitchen dishes and utensils are washed.· Monitoring and recording accurate records in accordance with food safety guidelines.· Carry out the washing and cleaning of work surfaces, crockery, utensils, floors and other kitchen equipment and maintain standards in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.· Ensure appropriate clothing is worn at all times.· Empting of waste bins to designated out door bins.· Participate in staff meetings, training activities and quality assurance systems.General requirements· Qualifications desirable - HACCP certificate essential.· 2 years or more in a similar or equivalent roleAll duties must be carried out to comply with:· Health and Safety requirements· Statutory Legislation· Fire Precautions· Nationally and locally agreed codes of practiceRenumeration:· Will be based on skills, experience and qualificationPlease apply with current CV and cover note stating your suitability for this post to:The post will be subject to reference checks and successful outcome of Garda Vetting proceduresJob Type: Part-timePay: €13.50-€15.00 per hourExpected hours: 15 per weekBenefits:On-site parkingWork Location: In person
