Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our eCommerce team as an eCommerce Executive. Reporting to the eCommerce Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in optimising the performance of our websites, enhancing the customer journey, and driving online sales. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for ecommerce and digital marketing to progress their career in a fast-paced and exciting industry.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in the day-to-day management of the McSport.ie website and HitFitness.com, ensuring content accuracy, product visibility (merchandising), and site functionality.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, procurement, and IT to execute ecommerce initiatives and campaigns.
* Monitor website performance metrics, analyse data, and generate reports to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
* Support the implementation of SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings and increase organic traffic.
* Maintain and grow our Zendesk AI chatbot, incrementally improving its performance alongside other AI initiatives.
* Contribute to the development and optimisation of product pages, landing pages, and conversion funnels to drive sales and improve user experience.
* Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in ecommerce and digital marketing.
* Provide support to the customer service department with website-related issues as needed.
* Assist with ad-hoc projects and initiatives to support the overall growth and success of the ecommerce business.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Ecommerce, or a related field.
* Strong interest in ecommerce, digital marketing, AI and the sports/fitness industry.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You will be needed to assist in copywriting alongside the marketing team for new product descriptions so excellent written English is key.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Sheets.
* Familiarity with ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify) and content management systems (CMS), a plus but not essential.
* Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
