We are seeking a Senior Ecologist to join our team. This is a key role within the company, responsible for delivering high-quality ecological consultancy services across a range of projects.

Job Description:
* Manage individual contracts to ensure delivery of high-quality ecological consultancy services.
* Provide specialist ecological advice on various projects.
* Plan, conduct and oversee site ecological surveys and fieldwork.
* Prepare and supervise the implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs).
* Conduct Appropriate Assessments, Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs), Biodiversity Chapters for Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs) and other environmental reports.
* Write detailed technical reports and other project deliverables.
* Ensure quality control with a strong focus on accuracy, timelines and continuous improvement of the Ecology team's output.
* Act as expert witness during Oral Hearings.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships and participate in meetings with clients and design teams as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree in ecology or related discipline.
* At least seven years of post-graduate experience in environmental consultancy.
* Member of CIEEM, CIWEM or comparable professional body.
* Experienced in participating in oral hearing process and serving as an expert witness.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Irish wildlife and conservation legislation.
* Strong technical report writing skills.
* Proven experience in preparing and overseeing the implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs).
* Experienced in collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams.
* Excellent communication, organisational and project management abilities.
* Holds a full, clean driving licence.
