Assistant Insurance Manager

Location: Donegal Type: Permanent Category: Insurance Salary:

Assistant Manager – General Insurance (Donegal Town)

Full-Time | Permanent | Office-Based

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm

Salary: Based on experience (Discussed on the phone, but very competitive)

Bonus: Annual performance bonus

Pension: Contributory pension plan

Are you an experienced insurance professional ready to take the next step in your career? We're looking for an organised, motivated Assistant Manager to join a general insurance brokerage in Donegal Town. (Experience managing or mentoring others is a plus, but not essential)

This newly created role is a key addition to the team and reflects ongoing business growth. It will include maternity cover responsibilities, but is offered as a permanent position from the outset.

Your day to day:

5. Supporting daily operations across Personal and Commercial Insurance
6. Managing internal referrals
7. Coordinating workloads and supporting team coverage
8. Handling reports, team queries, and day-to-day operational tasks
9. Helping to onboard, support, and train new staff
10. Assisting in audits, documentation updates, and general admin duties
11. Acting as a key point of contact and support within the team

Your profile:

12. At least 3-4 years' experience in an Insurance environment
13. APA or actively working toward CIP
14. Experience in motor, personal, or commercial insurance
15. Strong organisational and multitasking skills
16. A proactive mindset and willingness to lead Experience managing or mentoring others is a plus, but not essential
