We are keen to find someone who has sales and business development experience, is self-motivated, target driven, passionate about remote work, and has the ambition to make this their own in an environment that encourages tenacity, creativity and innovation.Purpose of the Role:Our Business Development Lead will drive company growth by identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining customer relationships, and executing sales strategies.Our Business Development Lead will have two key objectives:To implement and deliver a systematic, target driven, approach to recruiting companies, and their team members, to our training and consultancy servicesTo secure new opportunities to partner with Government Departments, State Agencies and other relevant stakeholders.Key Responsibilities and Duties:Recruit Companies to participate in our training and consultancy services: Implement and deliver a systematic approach to recruiting companies to our training and consultancy services. We have ambitious targets for each of our core services.New Opportunity Development: Identify and secure new opportunities with Government Departments, State Agencies and other relevant stakeholders. This could include, but not limited to, working with Local Authorities, Regional Assemblies and EU funding agencies.Relationship Management: Develop and nurture relationships with potential customers, funding partners, and other stakeholders to secure new opportunities.Product Development Support: Contribute to the promotion and marketing of new programmes to find product-market fit. In particular, systematically feeding the voice of our customers back into our product development process.Event Participation: Attend relevant events to promote Grow Remote and its work, and to identify new business opportunities.Desired Skills and Experience:Have 5+ years in sales, business development, partnerships, or public engagement, ideally with training bodies, membership organisations, and/or the public sector.Are confident in navigating both B2B and B2C sales cycles.Understand the grant, tender, and/or public procurement space.Are naturally proactive, structured, and motivated by seeing impact.Communicate with clarity, empathy, and purpose, especially with decision-makers.Love remote work and want to make it work for everyone, everywhereDesired Impact (Long Term - Over the Next 3 - 5 Years):Achieve scale and growth in traded income.Secure new funding partnerships to support programme delivery and further growth.Enable the sustainability of Grow Remote's operations and the scaling of its impact.Contribute to establishing Grow Remote as a leader in the transformation of remote work in Ireland.Reporting Structure:The Business Development Lead will report to Eoin Byrne, the Employer Services Manager, who leads on the delivery of commercial services.Benefits:€45,000 - €50,000 base salary, plus commission package.5% pension contribution and income protection cover (post probation).Generous Annual Leave.The chance to fundamentally change Ireland.Hours of Work:Monday to Friday (9am to 5.30pm) - Flexibility around hours outside of mandatory meetings, once approved by your line managerPlace of Work:Remote in Ireland. Will be expected to travel for events and meetings related to the role. Company retreats/offsites will also be held throughout the year.Equipment:We will supply you will the tools you need to do your job well (Laptop, screen, peripherals)Duration of contract:This is a 2 year contract with a view to extending, subject to funding.Deadline for receipts of applications: Tuesday the 2nd of December at 5:30pm.Next Steps:Preliminary Phone interviews will take place between the 8th and 18th of December and full interviews will take place, online, in early January 2026.
