Occupational Therapist - Later Life Psychiatry Inpatient Service
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team providing occupational therapy interventions to older adults with cognitive, physical and mental health needs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in working with older adults in a mental health context and be confident in delivering compensatory and enabling interventions. They will also possess excellent clinical reasoning, communication and documentation skills.
The role involves close collaboration with a senior OT in the community later life psychiatry team, conducting comprehensive assessments with a focus on functional ability, cognitive function and daily living skills.
A key aspect of this role is supporting discharge planning in collaboration with the community OT team. The successful candidate will also contribute to the development of the OT service through engagement in clinical audit and support for best practice initiatives.
* BSc or MSc degree (or equivalent qualification) recognized by CORU
* CORU registration (essential)
