About The Job
As an apprentice at Google, you will join a program that aims to provide the skills you need to become a Software Developer professional. You will join a team at Google and will be assigned a manager for the duration of your 24‑month apprenticeship.
You will start in October 2026 and your first 12 months at Google will consist of two 3‑month blocks of off‑site training with our educational partner, in a dedicated technology centre.
This will allow you to learn the basics of tech by following the ICT Associate Professional - Software Developer track and set you up for success for your on‑site time at Google. While on‑site, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of Googlers to solve real life problems. You will get exposure to a range of different roles across the company including coding, development, testing and project management. Additionally, you will learn how to apply problem‑solving skills to real‑life challenges, pick up new technical skills such as programming in multiple languages, learn about software testing and other industry practices and see how software is designed and developed.
Responsibilities

Support the team in the development of software projects and platforms.
Follow application and component level design working to standards and patterns.
Follow coding standards and ensure compliance with quality measures.
Ensure code is tested in accordance with the guidelines provided by the team or lead.
Undertake training and follow mentoring as specified.
