We help clients build resilient, compliant, and forward-looking businesses which are set up for regulatory compliancePurpose-led workJoin PwC as a Prudential Risk & Compliance Director in our Financial Services Risk & Regulation practice, leading complex, end‑to‑end prudential risk and regulatory transformation programmes for major EU banks and investment firms. Partnering with C‑suite executives, this role drives the design and implementation of robust prudential risk frameworks, capital and liquidity solutions, supervisory remediation and regulatory engagement across the ECB, SSM and national competent authorities.As Director, you will lead multi‑disciplinary teams, embed data‑ and technology‑enabled operating models, and leverage PwC's EU Network including PwC's SSM & EBA Office to deliver sustainable regulatory outcomes across credit, market, operational and ESG risk.We're seeking a motivated professional that is passionate about driving meaningful prudential risk and compliance change in the banking and investment firm sector. This role will be suit someone who thrives in dynamic environments, who can tackle complex problems while embracing the PwC values.Responsibilities include:Provide senior leadership and technical expertise to design, implement and oversee prudential risk frameworks, regulatory compliance programmes and supervisory engagement across EU banking and investment firm clients.Support clients (across risk, finance, compliance & first line functions) in managing supervisory interactions with regulators, prepare responses to SREP findings, lead remediation programmes and/or support banking licence or branch applications.Leverage PwC's leading Risk and Regulation services and its EU and global network to proactively identify and pursue opportunities to add value for clients across end-to-end the prudential risk management and compliance lifecycle.Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, working closely with senior client executives and key stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met and programme governance is maintained.Build, mentor and retain a high‑performing prudential risk team through coaching and development of internal team members, delivery of training programmes and alignment with colleagues across PwC's lines of service.Foster strong relationships internally within PwC and externally with clients and key partners to support collaborative delivery and knowledge sharing.Stay up to date with the latest trends and regulatory developments affecting the banking and investment firm industry in the EU and globally, integrating these insights into your consulting approach to deliver forward-looking advice and solutions.Experience and skillsA demonstrated deep EU prudential risk and compliance credibility in the banking and investment firm sectors across CRR/CRD, ICAAP, ILAAP, recovery & resolution, stress testing and SREP through strong:Risk stripe specific experience, specifically in credit risk, market risk and operational risk;Finance and treasury experience in capital adequacy, liquidity adequacy, recovery and resolution, stress testing and regulatory reporting and ESG risk management; and/orESG experience including ESG risk frameworks, materiality assessments, embedding ESG within the prudential risk environment and reporting & disclosures.An ability to leverage this knowledge to deliver impactful regulatory projects across areas such as, but not limited to, operating model design, risk framework design, regulatory engagement, remediation and implementation.Proven experience 10 years delivering large-scale prudential transformation programmes, preferably in the banking sector with strong record on realising implementation and improvement opportunities leveraging technology solutions.Excellent client management skills with the ability to build trusted advisor relationships within complex banking and investment firms.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting and influencing at senior leadership and board levels.Ability to quickly establish credibility and influence diverse client stakeholders through professional expertise and solution-oriented mindset.
