We are in the middle of an exciting journey of growth and expansion both with our facilities and our teams. We're looking for a talented and driven Sales Account Manager to drive revenue growth by managing and expanding relationships with key accounts in the retail and foodservice sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage a portfolio of key retail food partners, maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
2. Achieve or exceed sales targets and KPIs across assigned accounts and territories.
3. Develop account plans to maximize customer retention and drive incremental volume, revenue, and margin.
4. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts.
5. Assist in developing and implementing an export strategy to grow sales across the UK and Europe.
6. Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to tailor solutions to customer needs.
7. Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to adjust strategies.
8. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms in accordance with company guidelines.
9. Work cross-functionally with all departments to ensure the smooth execution of the sales plan (Marketing, Planning, Supply Chain, Despatch).
10. Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates to senior management.
11. Attend industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings as a brand ambassador.
Required Skills:
1. Proven track record in B2B sales and account management, preferably in the food or FMCG sector.
2. Strong negotiation and closing skills.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
4. Ability to analyze sales data and market insights to inform strategies.
5. Highly organized with strong time-management skills.
6. Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office Suite.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or a related field.
2. 3–5 years of experience in sales or account management within the food industry or FMCG.
3. Knowledge of food distribution channels (retail, foodservice, wholesale).
4. Familiarity with food safety regulations and compliance standards.
5. Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D, operations, quality control).
