Solar Home is Ireland's longest established solar installation company. We are hiring for the role of a Solar Installation Operative to join our growing team.
The Role:
This role involves travelling to job sites locally and around Ireland, erecting scaffolding and installing solar PV panels on the roofs or ground-mounted systems at our customers' homes, farms and businesses.
Responsibilities:
● Erecting and disassembling scaffolding on site.
● Transporting solar panels to roof and ground-mounted jobs and installing according to building regulations.
● Engaging with customers to advise on works being undertaken or changes to initial scope of works.
● Planning and working from site surveys, drawings & sales input, with the ability to make on-site changes as required.
● Completing works in the allocated time, ensuring a high standard of work at all times.
● Compiling, recording, and submitting all required documentation required for administration and grants department.
● Ensuring the highest level of health and safety requirements are adhered to.
Requirements:
● Experience installing solar PV systems on various roof types or roofing/carpentry qualification is highly desirable.
● An up-to-date Irish Safe Pass.
● Must have fluent English.
● Must be comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
● Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work well within a close-knit team.
● Must be able to communicate well with customers and be able to liaise with the electrical team and admin staff.
● Must be self-motivated and take pride in the work.
