Louth Ref: S***** RecruitmentPlus on behalf of our client are seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide technical support and travel to customer sites to service, install and at times provide training on their equipment.
This role is open to junior engineers or recent graduates with some relevant experience working on mechanical / electrical machinery.
Travel will involve EU and the odd trip long-haul.
Requirements: 1+ years experience working on electromechanical equipment.
Responsible professional with strong communication skills and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Experience using a structured support process.
Proven track record in producing relevant report material.
Automation and controls experience is advantageous.
Strong mechanical and/or electrical knowledge.
Electrical wiring knowledge and associated standards, can troubleshoot electrical circuits.
Strong relationship management skills, excellent communicator both oral and in writing with commercial awareness.
Has strong problem solving skills, works as a team player and always with integrity.
Full drivers licence.
Key Duties & Responsibilities: Perform start-up, installation and operator training for installations of industrial equipment.
Troubleshoot installed equipment to identify and correct technical problems (mechanical, electronic, operational).
Manage delivery of projects involving turnkey solutions in terms of quoting, scheduling and delivering services.
Managing contractors and engaging with 3rd party suppliers will be an important element in the role.
Conduct formal training classes with customers.
Provide information to engineering as needed to escalate ongoing problems.
Develop positive customer relationships.
Schedule and prioritise service trips/support based on customer requirements.
Prepare service call and expense reports in an accurate and timely manner.
Assume full responsibility for customer satisfaction & deadlines for every service delivered.
Conduct Application studies as requested.
