Job Summary:
This role is responsible for co-ordinating supply chain operations through managing purchase orders, tracking inventory, liaising with suppliers, maintaining data within company systems to ensure timely and efficient supply chain flow. This role may be required to carry out other duties not defined within this specification, in line with business needs.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
· Place and monitor purchase orders for raw materials, components, and services, ensuring timely delivery to support manufacturing operations.
· Monitor inventory levels, work to reduce excess stock and obsolescence, and maintain accurate inventory records within company systems.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, resolving any queries or issues related to orders and deliveries.
· Work closely with the logistics team to manage shipping documentation, ensure compliance and facilitate the movement of goods.
· Ensure data integrity in supply chain systems, generate reports on KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and analyse data for forecasting.
· Assist with managing and maintaining supply chain systems and support system upgrades or implementations.
· Liaise with internal departments, such as procurement, production and sales, to coordinate material availability and meet customer needs.
· Supply training to new and existing employees in line with business needs.
· Work to ensure the highest level of team-work and contribute to problem solving and idea generation across the business.
· Maintain a high level of housekeeping, Health & Safety and GMP practices at all times.
· Any other tasks in line with the department needs as guided by management.
· Participate in continual further education and learning & development opportunities appropriate to the role, as directed by management.
Skills:
* Proven experience in supply chain function..
* Proficient in analysing data and interpreting results accurately.
* Knowledge of supply chain software systems.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills, working in a fast paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams
