Job Description:
As a senior IT hardware specialist, you will play a key role in our team, working on the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex hardware systems. Your primary responsibility will be to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware components, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough diagnostics and repair work on IT hardware including laptops, printers, PCs, servers, etc., within our workshop environment.
* Maintain accurate records of workshop stock, equipment, and parts required for field service calls.
* Prepare personal computing hardware for customer dispatch by completing change requests, imaging, memory upgrades, and bench repairs.
* Support senior or consultant engineers assigned to new hardware deployments and refresh projects by setting up and staging hardware, including both print and personal computing lines.
* Provide end-user technical support through helpdesk services and field-based assistance, focusing on print technologies at customer locations as part of our Managed Print Solution.
* Conduct proactive customer site visits to perform regular maintenance on devices, replacing cyclical long-life consumables and conducting routine diagnostic checks to prevent future issues with devices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* You should have a strong background in IT, preferably holding an IT degree or equivalent qualification.
* At least 1 year of experience in a similar support role is highly desirable.
* Knowledge and experience working with Office 365, firewalls, and Windows operating systems are essential.
* Previous experience with Print Fleet Management & Managed Print Services software is highly desirable.
