Role Overview:
Noel Recruitment Group is partnered with a leading food ingredient client who is seeking a Purchasing & Stock Control Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day purchasing and stock control activities, maintain compliance with internal policies and procurement regulations, and work closely with suppliers and internal teams to support cost and efficiency goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Generate all purchase orders timely and accurately; track shipments and resolve non-conformances.
* Collaborate with Sales & Operations to proactively avoid stock-outs.
* Analyse supply and demand to forecast inventory needs and minimise stock shortages or excesses.
* Maintain inventory levels in line with agreed targets.
* Ensure all purchasing & stock control SOPs are strictly adhered to.
* Liaise with warehouse management to conduct stock-taking activities efficiently.
* Identify and resolve supply chain issues including shortages, overstock, and invoice discrepancies.
* Generate regular reports and provide insights to improve stock control and purchasing activity.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives within Operations and Supply Chain teams
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Minimum of 3 years experience in procurement, stock control, or supply chain.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in ERP and inventory management software; advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
* Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Skills:
* Strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management
* Process improvement and reporting experience
* Experience in food production or FMCG supply chains
