We are looking for... 2 x Speech & Language Therapist - Clinical Specialist Permanent Contract 2 x 0.5 WTE posts 17.5 hours per week each (Blanchardstown/Raheny) This is an exciting opportunity to take a lead role in developing Speech and Language Therapy services within a specialist palliative care setting. The Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist will work as part of a highly skilled interdisciplinary team, providing clinical leadership and specialist expertise in the management of complex communication and swallowing needs across inpatient, outpatient and community services. This role offers the opportunity to shape and embed Speech and Language Therapy as a core component of specialist palliative care, contributing to service development, education and quality improvement within a progressive and patient-centred organisation aligned with strategic priorities. Essential: Be registered as a Speech and Language Therapist with CORU Have a minimum of five years full-time (or equivalent) post-qualification clinical experience of which four years full-time (or an aggregate of four years) post-registration qualification clinical experience must be in oncology or palliative care. Demonstrate significant experience in adult Speech and Language Therapy, including dysphagia management Demonstrate clinical expertise in the management of complex communication and swallowing disorders Have experience of interdisciplinary team working Demonstrate strong leadership, organisational, communication and decision-making skills Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the role Desirable: Experience in palliative care and/or oncology Experience in service development, audit, quality improvement and/or research Experience in Alternative/Augmentative Communication (AAC) Experience working with progressive neurological conditions or complex respiratory conditions Informal enquiriesto: Lisa Mc Girr, Head of Health and Social Care Professionals.
