AtkinsRéalis, one of the world's leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland, has an opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team working on infrastructure projects across water, aviation, buildings, and energy markets.

The successful candidate will work directly with senior team members across Ireland and will be based in Dublin, Cork, Galway, or Dundalk, with the option for remote work within Ireland in a hybrid environment.
Role Description and Duties:
1. Support mobilisation of key contracts with robust commercial processes.
2. Negotiate with customers and supply chain partners.
3. Deliver robust commercial solutions for all bids.
4. Support Project Managers on complex projects to manage change.
5. Adhere to company policies and processes.
6. Develop Early Warnings, Change Notices, and Claims.
7. Resolve disputes and contractual interpretation issues.
8. Assist with management of Construction contracts.
9. Manage pre- and post-contract opportunity and risk processes, including mitigation.
10. Support internal project governance stage gates commercially.
Candidate Requirements:
* Relevant experience in project and contract management.
* A Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or a related field.
* Chartered status (CEng, MRICS, or equivalent).
* Proven consultancy experience.
* Understanding of engineering consultancy and design markets, including client relationships, work planning, and commercial management.
* Experience with tender stage contracts and scope of services risk reviews.
* Experience with contract stage, including raising early warnings and change notices.
* Negotiation experience in commercial settlements.
* Knowledge of Public Works Contracts (GCCC) and familiarity with other industry contracts like NEC/COE1 is desirable.
* Experience dealing with bespoke client contracts and conciliations is advantageous.
* Proficiency in project and data management software.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence in liaising with clients.
* Strong commercial track record in negotiating and managing successful contracts.
* Fluency in spoken and written English.
The candidate should be able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and possess a strategic, organized, and methodical approach.
