Are you an energetic sales leader with a flair for growing business and inspiring teams? One of Ireland's best-known consumer brands in the FMCG sector is looking for a passionate Area Sales Manager to take ownership of a high-performing territory in Limerick and Portlaoise region.
This is a rare opportunity to join a legacy Irish brand with decades of success in the grocery retail space. You'll drive growth and excellence across van sales and distributor operations in the region, delivering outstanding service and product availability daily.
Your Mission
As Area Sales Manager, you'll be the driving force behind regional sales performance. You'll manage an established network of depots, distributors, and van sales representatives—ensuring targets are not only met but exceeded through smart planning, hands-on leadership, and consistent execution.

What You\'ll Be Doing
* Deliver Sales Success: Hit quarterly and annual sales goals by strengthening relationships, developing new business, and ensuring after-sales service.
* Control Returns: Maintain returns within target levels through depot oversight and product management.
* Own the Numbers: Keep stock reconciliations tight, accurate, and fully accountable—from depot to delivery.
* Lead the Team: Build, schedule, and lead a high-performing regional sales team. Manage shifts/leave and motivate the team.
* Recruit and Train: Oversee hiring and onboarding of new team members to ensure top-quality staffing.
* Fleet Oversight: Ensure all company vehicles are maintained and all procedures followed, including accident reporting.
* Report with Clarity: Provide regular, accurate updates to senior management on sales trends and regional performance.
What You\'ll Bring
* Proven Sales Leadership: At least 3 years\' experience in a similar FMCG or fast-paced field sales role.
* Commercial Acumen: Understanding of numbers, strategy, and customers.
* Strong Communication: Clear, confident, and collaborative.
* Planning Skills: Ability to prioritise and structure your week for results.
* Team Focused: Ability to motivate and support others while owning responsibilities.
* Licence Required: Full clean Irish or EU driving licence.
