Your Role
We are seeking a Production Planner to join our team. Reporting to the Production Planning Lead, the Production Planner will:
* Prepare production and capacity plans for weekly supply, quarterly production, supply & inventory, and annual operational and financial cycles.
* Ensure service and inventory metrics are achieved.
Duties:
* Translate demand forecasts and customer orders into supply plans and schedules.
* Monitor production progress, identify potential issues or bottlenecks, and develop contingency plans.
* Analyze production capacity, material availability, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency.
* Develop work centre schedules to ensure optimal capacity use.
* Maintain and monitor planning systems (SAP APO and related databases).
* Coordinate with buyers for timely procurement of materials.
* Support long-term capacity planning by analyzing demand data.
* Collaborate with QC, P&T, and production managers to resolve supply issues.
* Provide weekly updates on production planning.
* Monitor material flow from raw materials to finished goods.
* Coordinate cross-functional activities to meet service levels.
* Maintain SAP MRP data for assigned products.
* Assist in site Sales & Operations Planning processes.
* Prepare weekly supply chain metrics.
* Lead planning and scheduling meetings, communicating schedule changes.
* Review obsolescence inventory monthly, identify risks, and find minimization opportunities.
* Identify opportunities to optimize SAP functionalities and reporting.
* Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Who You Are
* 3+ years of supply chain planning experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
* Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field.
* Supply Chain certification is advantageous.
* Experience with SAP desired.
* Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
* Proven ability to develop and implement complex planning and forecasting systems.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Understanding of supply chain concepts.
* Experience in stakeholder relationship management.
* Strong communication and time management skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
