About Hotel Kilmore
Hotel Kilmore is a long-established, well-respected hotel in Co. Cavan and part of the growing O'Callaghan Family Hospitality Group. As we continue to evolve our people strategy and invest in talent development, we are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented HR Executive to support our expanding team and growing organisation.
Role Summary
The HR Executive will support the delivery of a professional, people-first HR service across the hotel. Working closely with the Group Head of People and Culture and hotel leadership, the role involves recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, culture-building initiatives, training coordination, HR administration, compliance, and supporting our people strategy as the group continues to expand.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone CIPD qualified or currently pursuing CIPD accreditation, who is enthusiastic about developing a long-term HR career in a dynamic and growing hospitality group.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
* Support full-cycle recruitment for hotel
* Deliver a welcoming and structured onboarding experience.
* Maintain personnel files, contracts, and HR documentation to a high standard.
Training & Development
* Ensure all training records are accurately updated through the group's learning platforms (e.g. Flow).
* Monitor compliance training and work with managers to achieve 100% completion rates.
* Promote a culture of continuous learning, development, and internal progression.
Culture & Engagement
* Play a key role in promoting a positive, inclusive, and people-focused culture.
* Support engagement initiatives, staff communications, and recognition programmes.
* Help foster a workplace environment where employees feel valued, supported, and included.
Employee Relations
* Act as a friendly and approachable HR contact for employees.
* Support investigations, performance discussions, probation reviews, and ER documentation.
* Provide guidance to managers on HR best practices and group policies.
HR Administration & Compliance
* Maintain HRIS data, absence records, rosters, and HR reporting.
* Ensure compliance with Irish employment law, GDPR, health & safety, and internal policies.
Operational HR Support
* Support payroll preparation by verifying timesheets, new starter information, and leave records.
* Assist managers in meeting people-related deadlines and standards.
Projects & Group Initiatives
* Contribute to group-wide HR and culture projects as the hotel portfolio continues to expand.
* Support the development of new HR systems, processes, and initiatives across all properties.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
* CIPD qualified or actively working towards CIPD accreditation.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
* Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Desirable
* Previous experience in HR, hospitality, or a customer-facing industry.
* Familiarity with HR systems, training platforms, or payroll processes.
* Working knowledge of Irish employment legislation.

Pay: €27,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
