We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Social Care Worker to join our team in Children's Respite, Lavanagh House, Curraheen, Cork.
Contract Details:
* Contract Type: Permanent
* Contract Hours: 39 hours per week
* Salary Scale: €38,107 to €50,953 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI's (Long Service Increments)
* This pay scale is subject to increases in 2025 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.
* Annual Leave Entitlement: Annual leave entitlement is 31/32/34 days (depending on experience) per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service
Overview of the Post:
To work as part of a dedicated and innovative team in a 3 bed community based house providing respite for children with disabilities, within a quality framework.
To provide care to meet the assessed needs of children, young people and their families.

Essential Criteria:
* Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition:
* o Hold professional registration, or be eligible for registration, on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU.
* o Have a schedule 3 qualification.
* o Have a comparable qualification recognised by Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU
* o Applicants who satisfy the conditions set out in Section 91 of the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005, must submit proof of application for registration with the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU.
Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability, for the proper discharge of the role
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience of working with adults with disabilities including physical/intellectual/ ASD/behaviours of concern.
* Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
* Experience in taking leadership in the development of personal plans.
* Experience in responding to complaints
