Taylor Hopkinson is working with a fast-growing renewables developer to recruit a Development Manager who has previous experience in renewbales project development and is capable of managing external teams of consultants.
The client has extensive financial backing and an increasing portfolio of development projects in Ireland.
Role:
Reporting to the Senior Development Manager, this role will be responsible for driving utility-scale renewables projects from origination through feasibility, planning, grid connection, and ultimately to ready-to-build stage.
This includes leading design, environmental, planning and grid processes; managing consultants and stakeholders, navigating the Irish permitting and grid connection processes, and ensuring each project progresses in line with the company's development strategy and timelines.
The role is a full time, staff role based in Dublin with travel to site when required. You must therefore have a full driving license to be considered.
Requirements
* Degree in Planning, Environmental Science, Engineering, Geography, or related field.
* Experience in renewable energy development, ideally solar or onshore wind.
* Strong understanding of the Irish planning system, environmental assessments, and grid connection processes (EirGrid/ESB Networks).
* Experience leading multidisciplinary consultants and managing complex permitting processes.
* Comfort with GIS, feasibility tools, and project management platforms.
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of development economics (LCOE, yield analysis, grid constraints).
* Proven ability to collaborate with landowners, communities, regulators, and statutory bodies.
* Excellent team player with a track record of relationship building at all levels.
* Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
