Applications are invited for a temporary part-time (0.5 FTE) post of a Senior Research Commercial Lead within UCD School of Biosystems and Food Engineering.
The lack of cost-effective, real-time monitoring and control systems means that bioprocesses which include Anaerobic Digestion (AD), brewing, distilling and dairy processing, are operated sub-optimally and as such are experiencing loses in productivity, yields and profits.
These loses could be alleviated if key analytes that indicate bioprocess performance, could be quantified, automatically, accurately, cost effectively and in real time.
This Enterprise Ireland Commercialisation fund project titled - "Microorganism Based Biosensor Platform" seeks to commercialise a microorganism-based biosensor platform that has been developed in UCD to provide real time and cost-effective analyte detection bioprocesses.
The position being advertised is for a Senior Research Commercial lead to join the project team and lead the project's commercial activities.
Salary: €70,000 - €88,890 Per Annum Pro Rata (Salary will be pro-rated for this part-time role at 0.5 FTE) Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
