The Opportunity
The Senior Revenue Lead plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the financial integrity and operational reliability of the EirGrid Group within a highly regulated and rapidly transforming industry. As the organisation responsible for operating and developing the electricity transmission system and facilitating the all island electricity market, EirGrid must ensure that all revenue and directly recoverable cost processes are accurate, transparent, and fully compliant with regulatory, statutory, and licence obligations.This role leads the end to end management of the Group's Revenue portfolio and all associated Direct Costs, ensuring that both sides of the regulated revenue model – income and directly recoverable costs – are correctly captured, monitored, reconciled, and reported. The role ensures costs are consistent with regulatory allowances and accurately incorporated into budgeting, forecasting, revenue modelling, and regulatory submissions.The Senior Revenue Lead provides critical financial insights to support strategic decision making. The role drives strong governance, transparent financial reporting, and continuous process improvements across all revenue and direct cost activities, collaborating with teams across the Group.
Key Responsibilities
Own and manage the complete Revenue portfolio and all Direct Costs for the EirGrid Group, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with regulatory frameworks.
Maintain strong internal controls over revenue recognition, direct cost accounting, billing accuracy, credit management and revenue and direct cost resettlement.
Lead the Accounts Receivable Team in overseeing the monthly end to end revenue cycle, including billing, tariff application, reconciliations, regulatory adjustments, and resettlement reviews.
Conduct and present detailed analysis on revenue performance, cost trends, variances, drivers, and their impact on the regulated financial model.
Lead the cross-functional enhancing and documenting of Revenue processes and controls.
Lead within the Finance team for the identification and documentation of new lines of Revenue and Direct Costs.
Lead the revenue requirements within the annual Group budget, forecasting cycles, and regulatory submissions.
Support preparation of monthly management accounts, statutory financial statements, and annual regulatory accounts, including explanations for variances to allowed revenues.
Own the Revenue and Direct Costs modules within the ERP system, overseeing enhancements and automation initiatives.
Other ad-hoc duties, as they arise.
About You
Experienced qualified accountant, with a minimum of 5 years previous experience within a fast paced finance department;
Experience in a regulated utility, energy market, or infrastructure environment;
Demonstrated experience of leading and working as part of a team;
Proven ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines;
Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to operate on own initiative;
Working knowledge of IFRS reporting requirements;
Excellent MS Office skills;
Strong analytical skills;
Strong attention to detail and ability to organise and work with large volumes of data;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Working knowledge of Dynamics D365 or similar financial packages.
