About the Position
We are currently recruiting for the position of Restaurant Supervisor within our Conall Cearnach Restaurant & Summit. The Slieve Russell Hotel is located in Co. Cavan, just 90 minutes from Dublin, and offers luxury award‑winning 4‑star accommodation. The hotel is set on 300 acres, including 50 acres of lakes, an 18‑hole championship golf course, a par‑3 academy golf course, a superb leisure centre, a state‑of‑the‑art conference centre and an award‑winning luxury spa.
The role will involve reporting to the Restaurant Manager, assisting with the professional and profitable operation of the restaurant, meeting and greeting customers and guests in a polite, friendly and inviting manner, opening/closing the restaurant, day‑to‑day running of the restaurants, completing checklists to ensure all tasks are completed, continuous training and development of the team, ensuring the restaurant is adequately staffed at all times, organising, delegating and supervising all members of the team.
Responsibilities
* Ensure that all service provided is in accordance with department procedures.
* Welcome customers in a warm and friendly manner to the Restaurant.
* Ensure tables are set correctly, cleared at appropriate times and maintain cleanliness of the restaurant to the correct standard.
* Train, supervise and motivate employees.
* Deliver customer service to the highest standard.
* Work closely with the kitchen department to ensure standards are met.
* Have a full knowledge of all products in the department and a general knowledge of all hotel facilities and opening hours.
* Ensure the restaurant has adequate staffing levels for the level of business booked.
* Attend all training courses as notified by management.
Qualifications
* Excellent presentation.
* Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
* Positive attitude.
* Solid understanding of hotel operations and ability to work on own initiative.
* Good command of the English language.
* Experience within a hotel setting; essential experience within a busy restaurant setting.
* Available mid‑week and weekends and flexible with working times and shifts.
