Job Summary:
The Learning & Development Lead will lead and support the effective functioning of all learning, people development and training activities across the site. The L&D Lead will work closely with all departments to ensure that employees receive the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Learning & Development:
* Act as the site learning and people development subject matter expert
* Design, develop and coordinate innovative learning and development programmes to support business activity site-wide
* Develop processes to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning and development programmes
* Develop and implement career development programmes to support employee growth and retention
2. Training:
* Support the induction/onboarding of new employees with an optimised Induction programme
* Ensure site compliance for all mandatory training in accordance with regulatory requirements along with all corporate learning programmes
3. Management:
* Lead the L&D team and ensure the effective management of all aspects of the L&D function
* Participate in the development & implementation of Human Resources policies & strategies
4. Future:
* Promote and sustain a culture of learning and development onsite
* Lead the identification, development and implementation of lean / innovative learning technologies and approaches
The successful candidate will be expected to work co-operatively and flexibly within the HR & Training department and with other departments across the site. Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach to work are required. Strong attention to detail, refined planning and organisation abilities with a proven track record of multi-tasking, working to tight deadlines and delegating successfully are essential.
Candidates should have a third level qualification in HR / L&D, or related discipline and 5+ years HR / L&D experience within a busy, team based, operational environment, ideally in the pharmaceutical industry.
