Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.
Responsibilities
* Assist staff in the provision of a quality service to residents at Teach Failte Emergency Accommodation.
* Work as part of a team to provide a safe, secure and welcoming environment for individuals and families who are out of home.
* Respond appropriately to clients' needs and enable them to move on successfully.
* Assist in maintaining a sufficiently high standard of hygiene within the setting.
* Support residents in carrying out daily chores and assist staff in implementing support plans or specific programmes of support for those availing of the service.
* Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Training and Development
This is a developmental opportunity; no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. The programme will give successful applicants the opportunity for practical work experience of 19.5 hours per week within Teach Failte, Women's and Children's Hostel, Mullingar in conjunction with studying towards a QQI Major Award in their chosen career. All training costs are funded 100% through the programme.
