Structural Design Engineer
Roughan & O'Donovan (ROD) is looking to recruit a structural design engineer with two to five years' relevant experience for a permanent position within our expanding buildings team in Dublin.

You will be part of a team recognised for delivering high quality, cost-effective and sustainable building projects across a range of sectors, including residential, healthcare, education and commercial.
Your key duties will include:
structural design
liaison with clients, design teams and contractors
site monitoring
project management
structural surveys and reports
site development design

Essential
Honours degree in structural or civil engineering (Level 8 qualification in the National Framework of Qualifications or equivalent)
Two to five years' postgraduate experience with a structural design consultancy working on buildings-related projects
Strong safety ethic
Good organisational skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
Excellent attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Eagerness to learn and develop skills
Ability to work within a team or on your own under guidance
Fluency or a high level of proficiency in spoken and written English
Full and clean driving licence
Desirable
Experience of MasterSeries or similar structural design and analysis software
Knowledge of AutoCAD
Knowledge or experience of BIM/REVIT
Knowledge and experience of design in accordance with Eurocodes for concrete, steel, masonry, timber and foundations
