Beechfield Care Group is currently seeking to recruit a General Operative responsible for the care of residents at Beechwood Nursing Home, Leighlinbridge, Carlow, R93DD43.

Beechwood Nursing Home is a purpose-built residential facility located in the picturesque village of Leighlinbridge, situated on the banks of the River Barrow. About the Role

The Housekeeper/General Operative will oversee housekeeping and cleaning operations within the nursing home. Working hours will vary according to the home's needs and may include occasional weekend work.


Role Responsibilities

* This role involves working across the nursing home as a Housekeeping Assistant, Catering Assistant, and Laundry Assistant.
* Maintain vigilance regarding the dignity, comfort, and safety of residents.
* Adhere to all hygiene, health, and safety regulations continuously.
* Assist in preparing meals and beverages for residents and staff, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
* Prepare resident trays and dining areas, ensuring availability of necessary equipment, utensils, and food.
* Clean and maintain kitchen, dining areas, and catering utensils using appropriate techniques and equipment, under the guidance of the Head Chef or Director of Nursing.
* Perform any other duties as required.

* Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
* Strong organizational and planning skills to ensure adequate staffing and supplies.
* Ability to work well with management and staff as part of a team.
