Job Description
AN AUTOMATION ENGINEER is required by CareerWise Recruitment for a medical device manufacturing solutions client in Cork for a fulltime, on-site role.
The AUTOMATION ENGINEER will be part of a growing multi-disciplinary team delivering automated equipment solutions from concept through to full implementation.
Role of this position
* Design and integrate control system software for automated machines including PLCs, Robotics, Motion, HMI, SCADA, Vision
* Develop, test, commission & support machine control software
* Design of equipment to CE, electrical, machinery safety and clients' standards
* Interpret & develop design & validation documentation required for regulated industries (URS, FDS, FAT, etc)
* Specification of control system components
* Collaborate closely within a multi-disciplinary project team throughout an entire project life cycle
JOB REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelors Degree (Level 8) in Science or Engineering, or related discipline.
* PLC & HMI experience desirable, preferably with Allen Bradley or Siemens platforms
* Knowledge of automated machine design, specification & development
* Familiarity with robotics, motion control, machine vision, pneumatics an advantage
* Driving Licence and ability to travel is required
