Support Workers
This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities. As a support worker, you will provide person-centred care and assistance with daily living tasks such as personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, and household duties.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in residential, respite, and community settings.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, and household duties.
- Promote independence and community participation in line with individual care plans.
- Administer or assist with medication in accordance with guidelines and training.
Requirements:
- Be registered in the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board maintained by CORU.
- Hold a CORU approved Social Care Worker qualification and have applied for CORU registration (evidence of application is necessary).
- Eligible to Work in Ireland (most hold valid work permit or EU or IRP 1G, 4).
- Experience in disability or residential care (preferred but not essential).
- Full clean driver's licence (advantageous).
- Garda Vetting or willingness to undergo vetting.
