About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join our team.
This is a pivotal role focused primarily on driving new business growth within the logistics and warehousing sector. The successful candidate will play a critical role in expanding our market presence, securing high-value contracts, and establishing strong partnerships that position the company for sustained success.
Responsibilities
Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across warehousing, transport, and value-added logistics services.
Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to grow revenue and market share.
Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with prospective and existing clients.
Work closely with warehouse and transport teams to develop tailored proposals and deliver efficient, scalable solutions.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions and enhance service offerings.
Support the transition of new clients into operations, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
Provide oversight and continuity for selected existing accounts as needed, without primary responsibility for day-to-day management.
Experience Required
3–5 years in the logistics, warehousing, or freight forwarding industry, with a proven track record in new business development across transport and warehousing services.
Demonstrated success in winning and growing high-value contracts, particularly within time-sensitive or service-critical environments.
Strong commercial acumen and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and closing deals.
Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and navigating complex client requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Strong sales pipeline management and business development capabilities.
Deep knowledge of the logistics and transport sector.
Proficient in Microsoft Office or ideally Google Workspace.
Familiarity with Azyra is a plus.
Adaptable and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
