Textiles Merchandiser
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement seasonal plans with department buyers to meet business objectives.
* Coordinate open-to-buy plans for the season, adjusting forward buy requirements as needed to ensure optimal inventory levels.
* Review and sign off on core and volume line units within weekly forecast sheets to maintain a continuous supply chain from suppliers.
* Verify charges, pricing, and margin accuracy within budget plans to optimize profitability.
* Collaborate with online and regional teams to coordinate buy volumes within budget and open-to-buy parameters.
* Maintain online availability by working with buying and online merchandising teams to ensure seamless product flow.
* Manage launches, fashion, and transitional stories, as well as seasonal events to drive sales and customer engagement.
* Plan and control department overheads to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
* Identify current stock shortages and agree on actions to be taken to prevent losses.
* Implement general markdowns (slow sellers and seasonal clean-ups) to clear inventory and improve profitability.
* Review size ratio issues and confirm changes on forward cuts with suppliers to ensure optimal product fit.
* Monitor store performance through regular contact and store visits to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
