Senior Azure Dev Ops Engineer (Permanent)I am engaging experienced Senior Azure Dev Ops Engineers for a permanent position with my Dublin-based client.
This role presents an opportunity to contribute to complex cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform engineering initiatives within a fast-paced, enterprise-grade environment.
Location: Dublin (hybrid model with weekly on-site presence)Key Responsibilities Architect, develop, and support robust CI/CD pipelines leveraging Azure Dev Ops services Provision, manage, and optimize Microsoft Azure infrastructure and platform services Implement automated infrastructure provisioning and application deployment using Infrastructure as Code (Ia C) methodologies Design and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks for production workloads Partner with software engineering teams to enhance deployment reliability, scalability, and release velocity Enforce security best practices, governance controls, and compliance requirements across all environments Diagnose, troubleshoot, and remediate complex platform, infrastructure, and deployment issues Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to junior engineers Essential Requirements Minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience designing and operating solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform Advanced expertise in Azure Dev Ops services, including Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts, and Boards Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates Practical experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)Proven experience working with JIRA for work item tracking and delivery management Strong scripting and automation capabilities using Power Shell, Python, and/or Bash In-depth understanding of CI/CD concepts, pipeline design patterns, and Dev Ops best practices Solid experience with Git-based version control systems and branching strategies Strong knowledge of Azure networking, identity, security, and governance frameworks Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skills Desirable Skills Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Dev Ops Engineer Expert, Solutions Architect)Experience implementing observability solutions using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Grafana, and Prometheus Familiarity with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet Experience working within Agile and Scrum delivery frameworks Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards including ISO 27001 and GDPRMust Have: Stamp 4, EU or Irish Passport.
