Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in delivering timely and accurate financial reporting across multiple entities, while also managing and developing a team.
This position offers exposure to senior stakeholders, cross-jurisdictional operations, and a path for long-term progression within a dynamic and evolving finance function.
Key Role Responsibilities: Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including analysis of variances, trends, and key performance indicators across multiple entities.
Ensure financial data integrity and alignment with internal reporting timelines.
Act as the primary point of contact for finance-related queries from internal stakeholders.
Provide clear financial insights and guidance to support local decision-making.
Perform month-end closing tasks including preparation and posting of accruals, prepayments, and other relevant journals.
Ensure accurate and complete reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
Prepare and submit VAT and VIES returns ensuring full compliance with local tax regulations.
Maintain accurate records and liaise with external advisors as required.
Maintain and update the fixed asset register.
Manage the processing of monthly payroll across the business entities, coordinating with external providers and ensuring timely payments and accurate reporting of payroll-related liabilities.
Review and authorise supplier and intercompany payment runs, ensuring compliance with internal controls and approval processes.
Collaborate with IT and finance teams to maintain and enhance accounting systems.
Contribute to process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within the finance function.
Assist the Financial Controller and Finance Director with financial analysis, budgeting support, and other strategic finance initiatives as required.
Candidate Profile: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in industry Strong financial reporting and project finance expertise High level of accuracy, organisation, and problem-solving skills Effective communicator with strong team leadership experience Proficient in accounting software and Excel; ERP experience an advantage Whats on Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package Career progression in a high-performing and supportive environment Exposure to international finance operations and strategic projects An excellent remuneration and benefits package will be offered to the successful candidate.
