Job Description
The Law Society invites applications for the role of Regulatory Legal Assistant in its Regulatory Legal Services Section. This maternity cover position requires an experienced administrator/secretary with a background in litigation practice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent typing skills, be proficient in managing documents and preparing briefs, and have experience working with Word and Excel.
The successful candidate will provide secretarial, administrative, and litigation support to the executive team in the Regulatory Legal Services Section. Duties include updating and maintaining file and case management systems, general copy and dictaphone typing, building briefs for counsel, and making arrangements for the delivery of briefs and other supplementary documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Excellent administrative, organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Excellent IT skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
* A good knowledge of the regulatory system for solicitors in Ireland
* A good eye for detail and ability to carry out accurate and precise work under pressure and time constraints
* An ability to work on their own initiative, as part of a team, and be proactive in the role
* Experience working in a regulatory, legal, or other professional environment
