About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, organized, and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team in Dublin 2. As the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our front office.
You'll manage patient interactions, coordinate appointments, and support our clinical team with administrative tasks that are essential to providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
* Patient and visitor management: Welcome patients and visitors, respond to inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate services or departments.
* Appointment scheduling: Manage the appointment calendar for doctors and ensure optimal scheduling based on availability.
* Administrative support: Handle general office duties, including correspondence, filing, and inventory of office supplies.
* Patient records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information, ensuring strict confidentiality and compliance with GDPR and clinic policies.
* Billing and insurance: Assist with patient billing, process insurance details, and manage related administrative documentation.
* Office coordination: Keep the reception area organized, professional, and welcoming; assist with other office duties to support daily operations.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
* Proficiency in computers, electronic medical record (EMR) systems, and general office software.
* Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
* Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred but not required).
Education & Experience
* Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting (preferred).
* Experience in customer service (preferred).
* High school diploma or equivalent (required).
* Fluency in English is required; Spanish language skills are an advantage.
