Your new company One of Northern Ireland's prominent M&E Contractors, with over 40 years of experience, is seeking an M&E Commissioning Manager for a multi-million pound project in Belfast. Your new role The M&E Commissioning Manager will lead and manage the commissioning activities for all mechanical and electrical systems on a large-scale residential development in Belfast. This role ensures that all building services are tested, commissioned, and handed over in accordance with project specifications, programme, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage the commissioning programme in alignment with the overall construction schedule. Coordinate commissioning activities across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, BMS, and other building services. Liaise with design consultants, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure commissioning requirements are met. Review and approve commissioning method statements, test plans, and inspection reports. Lead commissioning meetings and produce progress reports for internal and external stakeholders. Ensure all systems are commissioned in accordance with relevant standards and regulations. Manage witnessing and handover documentation, including O&M manuals and commissioning certificates. Troubleshoot and resolve commissioning issues on-site. Ensure health and safety compliance during all commissioning activities. What you'll need to succeed Mechanical or Electrical Trades qualification or Degree/HND in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering Proven experience in MEP Commissioning management on large-scale construction projects Strong understanding of MEP systems and integration. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive commissioning activities to completion. Familiarity with CIBSE, BSRIA, and other relevant commissioning guidelines. A full UK driving licence is essential.
