Job Title: Toolmaker
\
Our company is seeking a highly skilled Toolmaker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality tooling and performing daily machine maintenance.
\
The ideal candidate will have experience in operating CNC Milling machines, EDM Wiring Erosion Machines, surface grinders, lathes, and other conventional machine tools.
\
They will work closely with designers and production teams to optimize design and manufacture of parts or modifications to existing parts.
\
Responsibilities:
\
\
1. Interpret and verify SolidWorks drawings, sketches, or specifications to fabricate machined parts or assemblies
\
2. Work with customers within the automation department and production to optimize design and manufacture of parts or modifications to existing parts
\
3. Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications and quality requirements
\
4. Prepare parts for anodizing
\
5. Assist the designer in the assembly of machine parts to verify fit and function
\
6. Perform mechanical assembly during machine build
\
7. Responsible for daily machinery maintenance within the toolroom
\
8. Meet level 6 advanced cert in craft and toolmaking and experienced toolmaker with at least 3-5 years' experience
\
9. Proficient in 3D CAM software (Auto Desk Fusion) and CNC machinery
\
10. Excellent interpersonal, communication skills both written and oral
\
11. Good understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
\
12. Ability to work on own initiative; highly motivated
\
13. Team player with excellent PC skills
\
14. Desirable experience in interpreting technical drawings and medical device manufacturing environment
\
