This is how you can make a difference at Abbott: As a Quality Technician you will be responsible for maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
Ensure the area is compliant with site and divisional policies and procedures.
Support building and maintaining successful cross-functional relationships with departments such as R&D, Technical, Engineering, Operations, and Regulatory Affairs to achieve operational goals.
This is a shift-based role on a 4-cycle shift. Key Responsibilities Maintain the effectiveness of the Quality System
Ensure the site provides safe and effective products that meet customer needs while maintaining compliance.
Assist engineering in collecting, compiling, measuring, and recording data.
Support continuous improvement through maintenance of the quality management systems.
Maintain the quality and compliance of associated quality records.
Raise any Quality / Compliance issues.
Present and communicate status, report metrics, identify potential issues, and suggest improvement initiatives.
Ensure audit readiness tasks are completed within the area of responsibility.
Identify projects to enhance the effectiveness of the quality system and product quality.
Support Operations in making Quality / Compliance decisions during processing, manufacturing, and testing.
Qualifications and Experience Minimum NFQ Level 6 Qualification in Engineering, Science, or Manufacturing.
Minimum 2 years experience in the food/medical/pharmaceutical industry.
Strong communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
