This leading Distribution Company are seeking an experiencedFinancial Controllerto lead the company's financial operations. This is a senior, hands-on role with responsibility for statutory and tax compliance, team leadership and the delivery of timely, high-quality financial insight to support decision-making.The role will oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, manage month-end and year-end processes, ensure compliance with PRSI, PAYE, VAT and Corporation Tax, and drive continuous improvement across finance processes and systems.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, manage and develop the finance team across AP and AR functions.Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory and legislative requirements.Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including balance sheet, P&L, budgets and cashflow.Review VAT returns and support corporation tax computations.Produce weekly and monthly management reports with clear analysis and recommendations.Investigate and resolve reconciliations and discrepancies.Lead internal and external audits.Maintain and enhance financial controls, policies and procedures.Ensure accuracy, integrity and GDPR compliance of financial data.Partner with stakeholders to provide commercial insight and support decision-making.Drive cost-saving initiatives, supplier optimisation and finance-led improvement projects.Support the Group SLT with forecasts, budgets and financial planning.Take ownership of ad hoc finance projects.The Ideal CandidateACA, ACCA, CPA (or equivalent) qualified.5+ years' experience in statutory, tax and compliance-focused finance roles.Strong background in management accounting, budgeting and cashflow.Proven experience leading and developing finance teams.Strong technical accounting and systems expertise.Excellent organisational and communication skills.Proactive, detail-focused and commercially minded.Salary:€90,000 – €95,000 plus benefitsTo apply:Please contactRichard Minchinon theLex Consultancyteam for further information or to submit your application.
