Oliver James is partnered with a leading Reinsurer in Dublin, who are looking for a commercially minded and driven senior Actuary to support during an exciting period of international growth. In this role, you will joining the business as they expand into the APAC region - this opportunity gives you the chance to progress your career in a business with a proven track record of expansion success.The business is keen to speak with Actuaries across reinsurance/ insurance pricing or consultancy. Alongside the key technical skills, they are intrigued to speak with individuals with strong personal drive and ambition.Location: Dublin.Office Requirement 3 days per week in Dublin based officeRemuneration:Applications up to 136,000 (negotiable, dependent on experience) + Car Allowance.On target bonus up to 20%Generous benefits packageRole:You will be instrumental in leading a small, high performing team of Pricing Actuaries whilst continuing to support the growth of the business. Typically, the role will be 70% pricing/underwriting, 30% business development.The role has opportunity to travel internationally and work with clients and stakeholders across Asia. On top of the exciting business opportunities, the company is conscious to maintain a positive work life balance and supportive culture.Responsibilities:You will be leading the development and structuring of new reinsurance solutions, optimising regulatory capital.Leading new reinsurance transactions to meet requirements.Underwriting and pricing new transactions.Developing relationships with customers and managing communications with international clients.Required and desirable experience:Actuarial qualification (FIA/ FSAI) OR significant experience (15 years+) in Life Insurance/ Reinsurance.Reinsurance experience highly desirable although not crucial for consideration.Experience valuing life insurance portfolios as part of M&A processes is desirable although not crucial for consideration.Good understanding on regulatory frameworks, capital and financial metrics.International experience is beneficial although not crucial for consideration.Proven track record of drive and business acumen.Could you be interested to discuss this opportunity?
