EHS Specialist
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EHS Specialist to join our client, a growing pharmaceutical manufacturer in Carlow. In this role, you will provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with legal requirements related to EHS as well as the company's corporate standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and Implement EHS Programs: Ensure compliance with local legislation, standards, and industry best practices for programs including risk assessments, contractor management, incident investigation, emergency response, chemical management, waste management, water & air management, ergonomics, bio risk, equipment & machine safety, industrial hygiene, and high-risk work.
* Assist Operational Departments: Achieve and establish compliance across operational departments.
* Prepare Reports: Site, divisional, and/or corporate management, and regulatory agencies.
* Evaluate EHS Requirements: New projects and processes, along with other site departments, as well as changes in existing processes and installation.
* Lead with a Safety First Mindset: Demonstrate leadership and a strong desire to protect employees, our community, and the environment in this world-class facility.
Requirements:
* Technical Bachelor's Degree: Environmental health & safety or Science/Engineering qualification.
* Post-Grad EHS Qualification: A plus.
* EHS Experience: 3+ years' experience in Pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industries.
* Proven Track Record: Success in the environmental health and safety sector.
* Technical Strengths: Understanding of various EHS topics, innovative, compliance-minded, drive to seek out necessary information, team player, capable of working within a multi-functional team environment, ability to influence others, self-directed, dedicated to maintaining high standards, and state-of-the-art facility protection.
