THE COMPANY: Our client is a market leader in the medical sector, selling a wide variety of medical equipment and consumables across its multiple divisions. Due to the huge growth in their sector over the last few years, they are now looking to recruit an additional Business Development Manager in Ireland to join their Life Sciences division. They have a strong name in the market as it is, but are looking for someone to come on board and help them achieve their ambitious growth plans over the next number of years. THE ROLE: As a successful Business Development Sales specialist, you will join the Life Sciences division. You will be responsible for selling a wide variety of laboratory equipment and consumables, including benchtop equipment, consumables, reagents etc. Your target market will be research facilities within the Hospitals, Universities, and Pharmaceutical sectors. You will interact will a variety of decision-makers, including Lab Managers, Technicians, Engineers, Procurement, etc. This role will involve sales, technical support, and product training for your customers. This is a 50/50 split of account management and new business - you must be comfortable with both. Territory will be flexible for the right person, but this will involve extensive travel to labs across Ireland. You must be comfortable being in a field sales role 3-4 days per week on the road, with occasional travel to the office in Dublin required. THE PERSON: We want to speak with people with field sales experience selling to laboratories. Ideally, you will be degree qualified, with relevant qualifications including Science, etc. Ideally, you will have sold instrumentation or laboratory equipment previously. You will be driven, technically-minded, with a passion for sales.
